WANA (May 30) – General Hajizadeh’s answer to a question about revenge for the blood of General Soleimani: “We are looking for them; We will catch them.”
The Commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) at the University of Science and Technology in Tehran said:
“If the perpetrators of the assassination of General Soleimani show up legally, we will hold a trial, then we will kill them, and if they don’t, we will go after them. We can’t start a war with the murderers. If you find them somewhere, let us know so we can follow them (with a smile). ”
General Amir Ali Hajizadeh is a senior military commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran. He is the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, which is responsible for Iran’s missile program and air defense systems.
Hajizadeh has been a vocal critic of the United States and Israel and has threatened to attack US military bases in the region if Iran is attacked. He has also accused the US and Israel of being behind a number of covert operations against Iran, including the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists.
GENERAL QASEM SOLEIMANI
General Qasem Soleimani was a high-ranking Iranian military officer and commander of the Quds Force, a special forces unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responsible for conducting unconventional warfare and intelligence operations outside of Iran. He was considered one of the most influential figures in the Iranian government.
Soleimani was born on March 11, 1957, in Qanat-e-Malek, Kerman Province, Iran. He joined the IRGC shortly after the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and rose through the ranks to become the commander of the Quds Force in 1998. He played a key role in supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Assad regime in Syria, as well as in advising and training Shia militias in Iraq.
On January 3, 2020, Soleimani was assassinated in a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport, along with several other individuals, including the deputy commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. The strike was widely condemned by Iran and its allies, and it sparked a new wave of tensions between Iran and the United States.
