Terrorist attack to ignite protests in Iran
WANA (AUG 13) – Moments ago, a terrorist attack happened at Shah Cherag Shrine in Shiraz City, Fars Province.
An armed person entered from the door of the Bab al-Mahdi shrine of Hazrat Shah Chirag, but he was met with resistance and confrontation from the security forces of the shrine.
“This terrorist was armed with a war weapon with eight gun magazines full of bullets.” Said General Abo Ali, Fars province IRGC commander.
This is the second terrorist attack in this location. The first attack happened on October 28th, 2022, during the protests over the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in Iran.
Unofficial sources say that the terrorist started shooting after being shot by the security forces, which injured several people.
Local sources say only one terrorist did this action, but his complete identity has not yet been determined.
Up to now, In this incident, One citizen was killed, and eight people were injured, and their injuries are reported to be serious.
According to the local outlet report, the terrorist who has been arrested is not Iranian.
“The terrorist was arrested by the security guys who were chasing him and by workers of Haram, and now we have that person (terrorist) in our custody.” General Abo Ali, Fars province IRGC commander, told the reporters.
The motive of this terrorist attack is still unknown. However, there are analyses that this action is likely to rekindle the protests in Iran on the eve of Mahsa Amini’s death anniversary.
