Death of 11 Iranian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia
WANA (June 18) — The head of the Red Crescent Society, Pirhossein Kolivand, announced that the medical staff served over 11,000 Iranian pilgrims in the medical schools and specialized clinics of the population.
Also, he stressed that the medical staff and rapid response teams accompanied the Iranian pilgrims to assist them with Rami Jamrat (dubbed in English as stoning the devil) and provided necessary services.
He stated that, as of now, 11 Iranian pilgrims have passed away, and 26 pilgrims are currently in Saudi hospitals. However, considering the large number of Iranians participating in this year’s Hajj, which is over 87,000 people, the overall health condition of the Iranian pilgrims is good.
