Iran’s Supreme Leader voting
WANA (June 28) – Iran’s 2024 presidential election is taking place today, June 28, with four presidential candidates: Masoud Pezeshkian, Mostafa Pourmohammadi, Saeed Jalili, and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, cast his vote for the 14th Presidential election at Imam Khomeini’s Hosseiniyeh (RA) in the early hours of the election and remarked:
In the name of Allah,
I pray to God for the prosperity and progress of our nation.
Election day is a time of great joy and excitement for us Iranians, especially during a presidential election when the people’s vote will determine our leadership for the coming years.
A crucial issue to consider is the active participation of the people and the fluctuation in voter turnout.
Voting is essential for the Islamic Republic, as its very name implies the involvement of the people. Therefore, the longevity, stability, reputation, and honor of the Islamic Republic depend on the people’s participation. That’s why we urge everyone to take voting seriously and to participate.
When you mention that some people are hesitant, I find it difficult to understand why. This is an easy task with significant results.
Why would someone hesitate about something that requires minimal effort, time, or pressure but offers numerous benefits? Especially considering that the stability of the Islamic Republic relies on the presence of the people, and their participation is essential to demonstrate the legitimacy and truth of the Islamic Republic.
I hope that Almighty God provides the best for the Iranian nation and that the people will be satisfied with their choice.
