WANA (June 28) – According to Iran’s envoy to London, the UK police have arrested three anti-Iran activists.

Two activists were trying to stop Iranians residing in Birmingham from voting and clashed with poll workers. Another activist also sprayed paint on the Iranian embassy building in London.

Iranians are heading to the polls in every corner of the world to cast their ballots in the presidential election that will determine who will be in charge of the country’s executive branch for the next four years. Iranians living abroad can cast their ballots at nearly 350 voting stations.

According to Iran’s election commission, more than 61 million people are eligible to vote. The election was originally slated for 20-25, but it was brought forward after the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raeisi in a copter crash in May.
