WANA (July 06) – In a message to the 58th meeting of the Union of Islamic Student Associations in Europe, Iran’s leader highlighted the complex global issues and emphasized the role and impact of these students in significant matters, relying on motivation, faith, and self-confidence.

Text of the message from the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran:

“In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

Dear Students! Your well-rooted and reputable union and the continuation of its activities are promising phenomena. This collective presence can play a role in the current complex global issues. The impact on significant matters depends more than anything on the motivation, faith, and self-confidence of the activists, and fortunately, this valuable asset is evident in you, the faithful and revolutionary Iranian youth.

You are aware of the world’s critical issues and both new and old wounds. The latest of these is the unprecedented catastrophe in Gaza. The most prominent of these is the moral, political, and social failure of the West, Western politicians, and Western civilization. The most instructive of these are the claimants of liberal democracy’s inability to establish freedom of expression and their fatal negligence towards economic and social justice.

The faint but hopeful glimmer of popular, particularly student, protests in America and Europe is also among the important current issues. West Asia and our dear country are also facing numerous small and large issues. All of these are areas for thought, work, and innovation for a blessed organization like your union. I ask God, the Almighty and Wise, for your success.”
