WANA (July 7)—In a meeting held at the office of President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, emphasized the Parliament’s support for the new government and underscored the collaborative oversight needed for the progress and welfare of the country’s people. He also highlighted the Parliament’s fundamental duties in this regard.

 

On the other hand, Masoud Pezeshkian acknowledged the enthusiastic participation of the people in the elections and paid tribute to the memory of the late President. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among all branches of government to address the people’s issues and promote the country’s advancement.

 

This meeting underscores the commitment of these two key institutions of Iran to constructive collaboration and service towards achieving national goals and serving the Iranian people.
