WANA (July 10) – Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, before his trip to Russia to attend the BRICS meeting, stated: “BRICS will host over 250 expert meetings in financial, monetary, economic, and cultural and social fields. This is a perfect opportunity for the Islamic Republic of Iran to expand its relations with BRICS countries.”

 

He added: “One of the important aspects of BRICS is that it has independent financial and monetary systems separate from other international systems. A system called ‘P’ allows countries to conduct their financial, monetary, and commercial exchanges.”

 

Ghalibaf emphasized: “Recently, we have seen the US Congress passing resolutions to put pressure on China, Russia, and Iran. Naturally, these meetings can help prevent such pressures and promote fair development and global and regional security.”
