WANA (July 18) – The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will open on July 26. The opening ceremony will be held on the Seine River, and for the first time, countries will parade along the river in boats.

 

The order of the parade has been determined, with Greece, the host of the first-ever Olympic Games, leading the procession.

 

Following Greece, the Refugee Olympic Team will parade, and then countries will march in alphabetical order according to the English alphabet.

 

Iran’s delegation will parade as the 86th country in the opening ceremony.

 

The last countries to parade will be Australia, the host of the 2032 Olympics, the USA, the host of the 2028 Olympics, and finally, France, the host of the 2024 Olympics.

 

Athletes from Russia and Belarus have been banned from participating in the opening ceremony due to the war with Ukraine.
