Latest Status on Release of Iran’s Frozen Assets and Martyr Soleimani Case
WANA (July 22) – Reza Najafi, Deputy Legal and International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran , announced in a press conference that Iran’s overseas assets have been unfrozen.
He stated, “Currently, we have no frozen assets. However, some obstacles remain due to unilateral U.S. sanctions. Part of these assets has been used for purchasing essential goods and paying off debts.”
He also detailed efforts regarding the Martyr Soleimani case during the press conference. He stated that a special committee, led by Kadkhodaei, is responsible for this matter and that expert work has been conducted internationally.
Najafi explained that the international legal process requires initial steps to be taken and does not yield immediate results. He assured that efforts are ongoing to bring the case before international forums and hold the perpetrators accountable for this crime.
