WANA (July 28)In a recent phone call, Ali Bagheri, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, spoke with Annalena Baerbock, the German Foreign Minister, regarding the illegal and human rights-violating actions of the German police in closing Islamic centers in Germany, including the Hamburg Islamic Center.

 

During the call, Bagheri expressed strong dissatisfaction and condemned the recent actions, stating: “The closure of Islamic centers in Germany is a purely political move, aimed at Islamophobia and serving the interests of the Zionist regime. The German government must accept the consequences of this action.”

 

German Foreign Minister Baerbock responded to the recent closures, stating that, according to German law, these centers can pursue their rights through legal mechanisms.

 

Baerbock emphasized the necessity of efforts to find solutions to the arising disputes and expressed hope that dialogue and diplomatic channels would help overcome existing barriers in relations.

 

The conversation also included discussions on the latest regional developments, negotiations on lifting sanctions, and consular issues.
