WANA (July 28) – Javad Nakhai, head of the South Khorasan Meteorological Department, mentioned that out of 200 international meteorological stations in Iran, 5 South Khorasan international stations are active in Birjand, Ferdous, Qain, Tabas, and Nahbandan, recording global air temperatures.

 

He said Tabas experienced a scorching temperature of 49 degrees Celsius yesterday.

Yesterday, Shahdad, Nehbandan, Shush, and Delgan were the hottest places in Iran, with temperatures reaching 49 degrees Celsius. In South Khorasan, eight centers experienced temperatures above 40 degrees, while places like Sarbisheh, Madhim, and Qain had below 40 degrees.

 

The head of the Meteorological Department of South Khorasan pointed to the continuation of heat today and tomorrow in the province. It said Tuesday and Wednesday, the heat fever in the province will decrease by a few degrees, and the weather will be hotter again on Thursday and Friday.

 

According to Eldoradoweather, Tabas reached 48.7 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest city in the world yesterday. Tabas has held this record in previous years as well.
