WANA (July 30 ) – Following the endorsement of the presidential mandate by the Supreme Leader, the newly elected President is required to take the oath of office in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. According to Article 121 of the Constitution, this ceremony will take place in the presence of the Holy Quran, members of Parliament, the Guardian Council, and the Chief Justice.

 

Alireza Sharifi, the Executive Deputy of the Parliament and Head of the Inauguration Committee announced that the swearing-in ceremony for the 14th presidential term will be held in the Parliament chamber. The event will be attended by representatives from 86 countries, comprising 104 delegations and international organizations.

Sharifi noted that the inauguration for the 14th presidential term has been organized following instructions from Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Parliament. The inauguration committee includes various subcommittees to ensure a smooth event.

 

He praised the extensive efforts and collaboration of external agencies in preparing for the ceremony, emphasizing that its successful execution results from hard work from numerous sectors within the country.

 

Sharifi concluded by stating that the oath-taking ceremony for the 14th presidential term will take place this afternoon in the Parliament chamber. Due to spatial constraints, fewer domestic guests have been invited, and he extended his apologies for this limitation.
