WANA (July 30 ) – On Monday evening, President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Mohammed Abdulsalam, spokesperson and head of the Yemeni negotiating delegation, who is in Iran to attend the inauguration of the 14th presidential term. During the meeting, Pezeshkian expressed hope that through the cooperation and synergy of all Islamic nations, oppression against Muslims would come to an end.

 

The President characterized the relationship between Iran and Yemen based on shared beliefs and culture, noting its resilience. He praised Yemen’s actions in support of the Palestinian people, highlighting their impact on pressuring the Israeli regime and its allies. He also commended Yemen’s steadfastness in facing the pressures and hostilities of oppressors.

 

Emphasizing that Iran-Yemen relations will continue strengthening, Pezeshkian stated that unity and cohesion among Islamic countries enhance their collective power. He asserted that if all Islamic nations stand together, the enemies’ ambitions against Muslim nations will be completely thwarted.

 

During the meeting, Mohammed Abdulsalam described the relationship between Iran and Yemen as deep-rooted and extensive. He noted that the long-standing commonalities between the two nations have fostered a strong bilateral relationship.

 

Abdulsalam emphasized that Yemen has taken a noble stance in defending the oppressed Palestinian people and protecting the interests of the entire Islamic Ummah. He stated that this position has shifted how adversaries view Yemen, recognizing it as a significant force in regional developments.

 

He attributed Yemen’s current strength to the support and solidarity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside divine assistance and the resilience of Yemeni leadership and citizens. Abdulsalam expressed hope for the expansion of mutual cooperation to further mutual interests.

 

He also highlighted Yemen’s commitment to coordinating with Iran across various fields to address shared challenges. Abdulsalam praised Yemen’s capability to confront challenges that may surpass the abilities of other nations, attributing this to the nation’s faith in its values and the high aspirations of its people.
