WANA (July 30 ) – Hussein Awad, Sudan’s Foreign Minister, has traveled to Tehran as a special representative of Sudan to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s new president. During his visit, he met with Ali Bagheri, the acting Iranian Foreign Minister, for discussions on bilateral relations.

 

Bagheri described the visit as a demonstration of Sudanese officials’ determination to strengthen relations between the two countries. He highlighted the reopening of embassies and the active engagement of ambassadors as valuable steps. Bagheri emphasized the importance of enhancing international cooperation and countering the crimes of the Zionist regime.

 

Hussein Awad congratulated Iran on the successful conduct of its elections and stressed the importance of developing and strengthening bilateral ties. He acknowledged Amir-Abdollahian’s role in resuming relations between the two nations.

 

Awad reaffirmed Sudan’s consistent stance in supporting Palestine and opposing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime. He also expressed Sudan’s full readiness to collaborate in international forums.
