WANA (August 08) – The Iranian delegation to the United Nations has addressed reports that Hamas claimed Iran would refrain from responding against Israel if a ceasefire is reached.

 

In a statement, Iran’s UN mission clarified: “We are simultaneously pursuing two priorities. First, establishing a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the withdrawal of occupiers from this land.

 

Second, holding the aggressor accountable for the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh, preventing future terrorist acts by the Zionist regime, and deterring them from continuing such actions.”
