WANA (August 10)Hassan Yazdani’s right shoulder was dislocated four to five times during his match, according to Professor Sohrab Keyhani, Head of the Wrestling Federation’s Medical Committee.

Despite the repeated dislocations, Yazdani continued to compete with assistance from the medical team. Keyhani noted that the initial injury was caused by improper pressure from Yazdani’s opponent and suggested a deliberate strategy to target his surgically repaired shoulder during the final.

Typically, even one shoulder dislocation would require an athlete to be hospitalized, but Yazdani endured five dislocations in just six minutes. Despite the excruciating pain, he bravely continued, determined to change the outcome of the match.
