WANA (August 12) – Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri, in a post on the social media platform X, shared details of a recent phone conversation with China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi.

During the discussion, they addressed the latest regional developments, particularly the actions of the “child-killing Zionist regime” that are expanding tensions beyond Gaza through recent dangerous moves in Lebanon and Yemen and the assassination of martyr Haniyeh in Tehran.

The Iranian official emphasized Iran’s legal right to take appropriate and deterrent measures to ensure regional stability and security.

Both sides strongly condemned these actions and agreed on the necessity of joint international efforts to halt the aggressions of the regime and to establish an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The Chinese Foreign Minister expressed support for Iran’s lawful efforts to defend its sovereignty, security, and national dignity and affirmed his willingness to maintain close contact with Iran to preserve peace and stability in the region.
