Bagheri: Iran Has No Doubts About Responding to the Zionist Regime
WANA (August 15) – The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the actions and aggression of the Zionist regime in the assassination and martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, emphasized: “Iran’s inherent and legitimate right to retaliate remains intact, and Iran has no doubt in exercising this right.”
During the ceremony marking the 77th anniversary of India’s independence, Ali Bagheri stated: “Undoubtedly, the concept of independence is the most valuable word in any country, and it holds even greater significance for India. Independence is a profound term that is highly valued by all nations; every nation takes pride in having it and is willing to make sacrifices to achieve it.”
He added: “If today we have gathered here to honor the anniversary of India’s independence and to congratulate the friendly government and people of India, we also deem it necessary to remember other nations fighting for freedom from occupation and to support their independence struggles.”
This senior Iranian diplomat emphasized: “If today all freedom-loving people around the world respect the independence struggles of the Palestinian people and condemn the genocide, crimes against humanity, and child killings committed by the Zionist regime, it stems from the humanitarian sentiments of people worldwide.”
Referring to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of Hamas’ political bureau, Bagheri said: “The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, who was an official guest of Iran and was present in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s new president, is undoubtedly an unforgivable crime, a violation of Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a threat to regional stability and security. The entire world must condemn this act and take preventive measures against the Zionist regime.”
Bagheri reiterated: “The inherent and legitimate right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to retaliate remains intact, and Iran has no doubt in exercising this right.”
