Ali Bagheri’s Phone Conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister
WANA (August 17) – This afternoon, Saturday, Badr Abdel Aty, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, held a phone conversation with Ali Bagheri, the acting Foreign Minister of Iran, discussing the latest developments related to negotiations aimed at stopping the Zionist genocide in Gaza.
In this conversation, the acting Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out the combination of field crimes and deceitful negotiations by the criminal and rogue gang in Tel Aviv.
He stated that the United States, by openly supporting the Zionists’ crimes, has proven to be an accomplice and cannot be an impartial mediator, consistently attempting to obstruct the cessation of the occupying regime’s crimes and encouraging the genocide by Zionists.
Referring to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the head of Iran’s diplomatic apparatus said that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves its inherent and legitimate right to respond appropriately to the Zionist regime’s crimes, and the Palestinian people, with their remarkable courage, will not surrender to the Zionist regime.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty also highlighted the holding of a multilateral meeting in Cairo aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza. He stated that Egypt’s efforts are focused on aiding the Palestinian people and urgently stopping the Zionists’ crimes in Gaza.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister also referred to the severe shortages of food and medicine in the Gaza Strip and the spread of various diseases in the region, emphasizing that there is a pressing need for international consensus to establish a ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible.
