WANA (Aug 20) — Israeli media outlets have reported the arrest of a young Israeli man on charges of alleged connections with Iranian security and intelligence agencies within the depths of Israel.

The individual, identified as 30-year-old Eden Debs, is accused of leading a cell involved in anti-security activities in Israel under the guidance of Iranian intelligence agencies.

Debs is alleged to have collaborated with Iranian security forces to hang posters in public areas of Petah Tikva, which carried messages encouraging a military coup, aiming to create divisions among Israeli settlers.

In addition to these charges, Debs, a resident of Ramat Gan, is accused of promoting activities within a Telegram group named “People’s Army,” which encouraged other settlers and Israeli soldiers to stage a coup against the Israeli government.

Israeli authorities claim that Debs received his financial rewards for these activities over the past four months through cryptocurrency, provided by Iranian intelligence agencies.

Debs’ lawyer, Shirah Nir, has denied the allegations made by Israeli security agencies and emphasized his client’s innocence.

The arrest reportedly occurred due to a tip-off from Debs’ mother, who contacted Israeli intelligence services, revealing her son’s activities.

This incident has once again highlighted the vulnerability and shortcomings of Israeli security agencies in countering the intelligence capabilities of the Resistance Axis.
