WANA (Aug 23) – Lebanon’s Foreign Minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, had a phone conversation with Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, congratulating him on his appointment as the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wishing him success in his new role.

 

During the conversation, Araghchi emphasized the new Iranian government’s commitment to continuing its support for the government, people, and resistance of Lebanon in the face of the Zionist regime’s aggressions.

 

The Lebanese Foreign Minister also expressed hope that the development and strengthening of relations and cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon would continue.

 

Araghchi and Bou Habib also exchanged views on the latest regional developments in light of the ongoing war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Palestine and its aggressions against Lebanon.

 

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue consultations and joint discussions on various issues of mutual interest.
