WANA (Aug 24) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in a phone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, congratulated him on his appointment as Iran’s Foreign Minister. He expressed Turkey’s readiness to continue political consultations with Iran to strengthen and develop bilateral relations, as well as to collaborate on key regional issues and international developments.

 

Fidan emphasized the importance of bolstering political consultations amid growing tensions in West Asia, highlighting the expanding ties between Tehran and Ankara.

 

Araghchi, in turn, underscored the need to enhance the positive relations between the two countries and expressed Tehran’s readiness to engage in constructive dialogue to expand cooperation in all areas.

 

Referring to the worsening situation in West Asia and the Zionist regime’s terrorist actions aimed at escalating tensions and spreading instability across the region, Araghchi stressed the need for continued consultations between Islamic countries, particularly the key nations of Iran and Turkey.
