WANA (Aug 26) – Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not fall for enemy media manipulations. He emphasized that Iran will make its own decisions regarding retaliation and that the Resistance Axis will act independently, as demonstrated in recent events.

Bagheri addressed the regional situation following Operation Storm of Al-Aqsa, noting a series of significant events over the past 11 months, including the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the “True Promise” operation, the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, and Hezbollah’s retaliatory operation in response to the murder of martyr Fouad Shaker in West Asia.

He also commented on the transitional phase in the United States, highlighting its involvement in Eastern Europe and its focus on developments in East Asia while lacking a specific strategy. The U.S. continues to fully support the Israeli regime by providing weapons and equipment and failing to act on the Gaza ceasefire.

Regarding the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, Major General Bagheri described it as an unforgivable act and assured that both the Resistance Axis and the Islamic Republic of Iran are committed to exacting revenge.

Major General Bagheri reiterated that enemy media provocations will not sway Iran. He reaffirmed that Iran would decide on retaliation independently, and the Resistance Axis would operate separately and independently, as seen in recent actions.

He concluded by discussing the rapid advancements in defence technology and production methods. He stressed the importance of addressing the needs of the armed forces, advancing new technologies, and delivering timely, high-quality defence products to ensure their effectiveness on the battlefield.
