Iran Judo Breaks a 10-Year Curse at the Asian Championships
WANA (Aug 30) – Mohammad Mahdi Mazloum, representing Iran’s national boys’ junior team in the +90 kg weight category, broke a 10-year curse by securing a gold medal for Iran in the Asian Junior Judo Championships.
The Asian Junior Judo Championships are being held in Mungyeong, South Korea. On the second day of the competition, the Iranian junior judo team (boys) concluded their participation with one gold medal, two bronze medals, and two fifth-place finishes.
The Iranian junior team competed with a roster of five national athletes.
