WANA (Sep 11) – The Iranian Foreign Minister of Iran has denied Western claims regarding the transfer of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in a post on his personal page on X, stated that once again, the U.S. and Europe have acted based on false information and flawed logic. He wrote: “Iran has not sent ballistic missiles to Russia. Period.”

He added: “Sanctions addicts should ask themselves: How is Iran capable of producing and, according to your claims, selling advanced weapons?”

Araghchi further emphasized: “Sanctions are not the solution; they are part of the problem.”

CNN, in a report citing unidentified sources, claimed that Iran had transferred short-range ballistic missiles to Russia for use in military operations in Ukraine.

In response, a United Nations spokesperson said, “We have seen these reports, but there is no way to verify them.”

Meanwhile, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, reacted to the report, stating: “We have seen these reports, and such news does not always align with reality. Iran is a key partner of ours, and we are expanding our trade and economic relations. We will continue to develop cooperation and dialogue in all possible areas, including the most sensitive sectors, for the benefit of the people of both countries.”
