Iran and Brazil, Strengthening Bilateral Ties in BRICS
WANA (Sep 11) – Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met with Celso Amorim, Special Advisor to the President of Brazil, on the sidelines of the BRICS security summit. The two officials discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in economic, scientific, and technological sectors.
The summit took place on Wednesday in St. Petersburg, Russia, with the participation of security officials from BRICS member states, including Iran, which officially joined the group in early 2024.
In addition to BRICS members, senior security representatives from several southern countries, including Indonesia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and others, are also attending joint sessions.
