Iran’s Wushu Team Takes Asian Silver
WANA (Sep 15) – The 10th Asian Wushu Championship, hosted by Macau and featuring athletes from 23 countries, concluded with China claiming the championship title and Iran securing second place.
In the final medal standings across both men’s and women’s Sanda and Taolu events, China dominated with 18 golds, 1 silver, and 3 bronzes.
Iran’s national wushu team finished as the runner-up, earning 7 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
Malaysia came third with 3 golds, 4 silvers, and 3 bronzes. Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Kazakhstan, India, and Japan ranked 4th to 10th respectively in the medal table.
Iran’s Zahra Kiani shined with 2 individual gold medals in Taolu, marking the country’s first gold medals in individual Taolu at the continental championship.
