WANA (Sep 17) – Around 3:30 PM today, several pagers belonging to employees of various Hezbollah units and institutions in Beirut exploded simultaneously. These explosions believed to be the result of a cyber and terrorist attack, have raised significant concerns.

In its second statement, Hezbollah strongly blamed Israel for the attacks, declaring: “We hold the Israeli enemy fully responsible for this criminal assault, which has also harmed civilians, leading to multiple deaths and injuries. The treacherous and criminal enemy will undoubtedly face retribution for this aggression.”

Earlier, Hezbollah’s first statement confirmed that the group had launched comprehensive security and technical investigations to determine the cause of these coordinated explosions. The group stressed that the resistance remains at the highest level of preparedness to defend Lebanon.

According to reports, Lebanese Health Minister Firas Al-Abiad announced this evening that 2,750 people were injured in the explosions, with eight fatalities, including a child.
