WANA (Sep 18) – Hezbollah has vowed a “painful” response to Tuesday’s terrorist explosions targeting communication devices (pagers) across Lebanon, calling it a “great crime by the enemy.”

In a statement on Wednesday, Hezbollah emphasized that its routine resistance operations in southern Lebanon are separate from the retaliation it plans for this specific attack, which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries.

The group extended condolences to the families of the martyrs, including those in Bleida and Majdal Selem, and prayed for the recovery of the wounded. Hezbollah reaffirmed its commitment to defending Lebanon and supporting Gaza, warning that Israel must prepare for retribution.

The explosions, believed to have been triggered by intercepted pager frequencies, have so far claimed 11 lives and injured around 3,000 people, many critically. Official casualty figures are yet to be confirmed.
