WANA (Sep 22) – The Iranian Foreign Minister, during a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart, referred to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, in Tehran and emphasized that this act cannot go unanswered.

 

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York.

 

Referring to recent actions by the Zionist regime, Iran’s Foreign Minister stated: “These actions are Netanyahu’s attempts to escape the deadlock in Gaza.”

 

He added: “The Zionist regime went to Gaza to completely destroy Hamas but failed and is now in a state of desperation.”

 

Araghchi emphasized that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran cannot go unanswered.

 

The Iranian Foreign Minister considered the actions of the occupying Zionist regime as highly dangerous for regional and global peace and security. He stressed the need for regional countries to cooperate in preventing the malice of this regime, reaffirming Iran’s commitment to maximum dialogue and engagement with the southern Persian Gulf nations.
