WANA (Sep 26) – The President of Iran, in an interview with a foreign network, emphasized the unity among Islamic countries and stated, “We will determine the timing of our response to the Zionist regime’s aggression and the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh, but we are not going to announce it. Israel, with the support of the U.S., seeks to stir chaos in the region through war and to free itself from the trap it has fallen into.”

Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said, “It is up to us to set the timeline for responding to the assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, and Israel cannot act as it pleases. Israel hopes to escalate the war in the Middle East to secure its survival.”

He continued, “Israel failed to achieve its goals in Gaza and could not destroy Hamas. The only objective Israel managed to reach was the destruction of an entire city and the obstruction of humanitarian aid deliveries.”

The Iranian president added, “The quality, location, and timing of our response are matters that we will not announce.”

In this interview, the president emphasized, “Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister of Israel) is seeking to gain political survival through the current crisis, and Israel won’t suffer from the expansion of the war because it is supported by those who hold flawed humanitarian values.”

Pezeshkian also stated, “What Israel is doing in the region amounts to genocide. Unfortunately, European countries and the U.S. continue to defend these crimes.”

Masoud Pezeshkian noted, “Islamic countries must respond in a coordinated manner, because Israel will do the same thing in Lebanon as it did in Gaza. Israel would not dare continue its actions if we all raise our voices together.”

He further added, “We are not looking for war with any side, and we remain committed to the nuclear agreement we signed and adhered to.”

The President of Iran emphasized, “The weapons and missiles we have developed are for self-defense in case Israel attacks us.”

Masoud Pezeshkian also mentioned, “We have no problem engaging in dialogue with the U.S., but it has failed to fulfill its commitments. Currently, we do not see goodwill from the American side regarding talks, and this is exactly what happened with the nuclear deal.”
