WANA (Oct 01) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has appointed Mohammad-Reza Raouf Sheybani as his special representative for the West Asia region. Sheybani is set to travel to Beirut soon to consult with Lebanese officials.

 

During a meeting with Araghchi this morning, he presented a report on the latest developments in Lebanon and the activities of the Israeli regime in the country, particularly following the assassination of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah and several of his associates.

 

Araghchi emphasized the critical situation in West Asia, highlighting the need for international community engagement to counter the provocative and destabilizing actions of the Israeli regime, calling for an end to its incendiary activities.

 

The Iranian Foreign Minister also provided essential recommendations to his special representative, stressing the importance of enhancing political mobilization and the necessity of collective action among countries seeking stability and peace in the region.

 

Mohammad-Reza Raouf Sheybani has previously held various diplomatic positions, including as Deputy for Arab and African Affairs at the Foreign Ministry and as Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Syria, and Tunisia.
