WANA (Oct 02) – The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces stated that, despite the repeated crimes of the Zionist regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran adhered to necessary protocols and only targeted military bases.

 

Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, explained the details of the “True Promise 2” operation, noting that the IRGC’s Aerospace Force, through its courageous and heroic operation, avenged many of the Zionist regime’s crimes.

 

He added, “The past two months have been extremely challenging for the Iranian nation and the resistance axis. Following the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh, head of Hamas’ political bureau in Tehran, and amidst repeated requests from the Americans and Europeans to exercise restraint so that a ceasefire could be established in Gaza, we endured a tough period of self-restraint.”

 

The Chief of Staff continued, “However, the criminal Zionist regime, with the support of the U.S. and even a green light from them, escalated its atrocities. It carried out massacres against the people of Lebanon, including the assassination of the great martyr, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and the IRGC’s senior military advisor in Lebanon, Martyr General Nilforoushan. These were massive crimes, making the situation unbearable.”

 

Major General Bagheri stated that the IRGC, through its significant missile operation, managed to strike key bases within the Zionist regime. He added, “Even in the face of these crimes, the Islamic Republic of Iran adhered to the necessary standards and only targeted military bases. Three main airbases of the Zionist regime were struck, including Mossad, which serves as a center for assassinations, Nevatim Airbase, which houses F-35 aircraft, and Hatzerim Airbase, which was used for the assassination of our dear Martyr Nasrallah.”

 

Elaborating further on the IRGC’s missile strikes on military sites in the occupied territories, he said, “Additionally, in this operation, strategic radars, tank and personnel carrier gatherings, and Zionist forces stationed around Gaza responsible for the massacre of the Gazan people were targeted.”

 

The Chief of Staff emphasized that the regime’s economic and industrial infrastructure was not targeted, although it was fully within reach. “I hereby declare that the IRGC and the Iranian Armed Forces are fully prepared, both defensively and offensively, to repeat this attack and even escalate it many times over,” he asserted.

 

Major General Bagheri stressed that if the Zionist regime, which has gone mad, is not controlled by the U.S. and Europe, and continues its crimes or acts against our sovereignty and territorial integrity, tonight’s operation will be repeated on a larger scale, and all their infrastructure will be struck.

 

He concluded by expressing hope that the U.S. would abandon its past approach, stop this criminal regime, and steer the region toward peace. “I also extend my full appreciation to my dear comrades in the IRGC’s Aerospace Force for conducting a highly successful operation,” he added.
