WANA (Oct 05) – In a recent meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad affirmed that Iran’s response to the Israeli regime’s aggressions was firm, sending a clear message that the Resistance Axis is capable of deterring its enemies.

During the discussions on Saturday, President Assad underscored the strategic importance of the relationship between Syria and Iran, deeming it essential for confronting regional challenges and threats, particularly in light of ongoing Israeli occupation and daily atrocities against civilians in Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.

Assad stated, “Resisting any form of occupation, aggression, and mass killing is a legitimate right. The power of this resistance stems from the people’s support and belief in it.”

He reiterated that Iran’s response to the repeated attacks by the Israeli regime against the nations in the region was a strong one, demonstrating that the Resistance Axis could impose deterrence on the enemy, thwart its plans, and remain resilient through the solidarity and will of its supporters.

He further emphasized that the only solution for Israel is to halt the slaughter and bloodshed of innocent people and to restore their legitimate rights.

According to a statement from the Syrian presidency, the two leaders also discussed ways to stop Israeli aggressions in Lebanon and highlighted the importance of supporting and assisting the Lebanese, especially considering the widespread displacement caused by these attacks.

Araghchi, in this meeting, reiterated his confidence in the power of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine to stand against the Israeli machinery of destruction and killing, stressing the necessity of coordinating with all supportive countries to halt these aggressions.
