WANA (Oct 13) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, referring to his meeting with Josep Borrell and Enrique Mora in New York, said: “I clearly reaffirm what I have said before: we have not provided ballistic missiles to Russia, and if Europe needs an excuse to cave in to Israel’s blackmail, it should find another story.”

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, wrote on his personal page on the social media platform X: “In the meeting with Josep Borrell and Enrique Mora in New York, I addressed the following points:

1. Iran-Russia military cooperation is not new and dates back to before the Ukraine crisis.

2. Some Europeans have provided the Israeli regime with various advanced weapons and have eagerly participated in military operations against Iran.

3. The U.S. policy of maximum pressure is still in place, and European businesses fully comply with the U.S. Treasury’s directives.

I clearly and once again reaffirm what I have said: we have not provided ballistic missiles to Russia.

If Europe needs an excuse to give in to Israel’s blackmail, it would be better to find another story.”
