WANA (Oct 13) – The Deputy for Logistics and Support of Iran’s Law Enforcement Force (FARAJA), Brigadier General Reza Fariba, announced that the country’s border police will soon be equipped with armored vehicles.

He stated that domestic knowledge-based companies are working on producing bulletproof equipment locally, highlighting Iran’s commitment to meeting its needs through local expertise.

Fariba noted that the main challenge in acquiring armored vehicles is securing sufficient financial resources, and urging support from the government and parliament.

He added that while some materials for bulletproofing must be imported, the cost of equipping each vehicle with bulletproof features could range between 28763$ to 38351$ .

Efforts are also underway to strengthen the fleet with more powerful vehicles capable of handling the extra weight from armor, a process that will require additional funding.

Furthermore, Fariba emphasized the role of domestic companies in producing bulletproof equipment, while acknowledging that in the short term, imports will still be necessary to meet immediate demands.
