WANA (Oct 15) – In a recent interview, former U.S. President and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump discussed his decision to authorize the strike on General Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Quds Force, which led to Soleimani’s death at Baghdad airport. Trump remarked, “Soleimani was truly a great general; he was a prominent Iranian figure.”

The interview, conducted ahead of the upcoming U.S. presidential election on November 5, covered key issues such as China, Iran, Israel, the Black vote, immigration, and America’s decline.

When asked about China’s purchase of Iranian oil, Trump stated that he didn’t blame Beijing for this, claiming, “I told China not to do it, and they listened because I warned them that if they continued to buy oil from Iran, they would no longer be able to trade with the U.S.”

He further asserted that during his presidency, Iran did not dare attack U.S. forces, saying, “I took out Soleimani because he wanted to destroy our military. Soleimani was a great general, but under my administration, the Iranians never attacked American forces.”

In another part of the interview, Trump addressed the state of the nation, stating, “We are a failed nation. I hate to say it, but we are in serious decline, and our leadership is at the heart of this downfall.”
