WANA (Oct 18) – The Iranian Mission to the United Nations declared that Yahya Al-Sinwar, reportedly killed, will become an inspiration for Palestinian youth and children in their struggle to liberate Palestine.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Iran’s UN Mission responded to reports of the death of Yahya Al-Sinwar, the head of Hamas’ political bureau. The statement drew a contrast between Al-Sinwar’s last stand against Israeli forces and the capture of Saddam Hussein, who begged for his life when found by U.S. troops.

The post stated: “Those who viewed Saddam as a symbol of resistance have collapsed, but Al-Sinwar’s battlefield bravery, fighting until the end, will strengthen the spirit of resistance among Muslims.”

The mission further emphasized that Al-Sinwar will be a role model for future generations striving for the liberation of Palestine and reiterated that as long as occupation and aggression persist, the resistance will remain alive because martyrs continue to inspire and motivate.
