WANA (Oct 22) – The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran warned that any attack by the Israeli regime will receive a “proportional response.”

Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, speaking on the sidelines of a memorial ceremony for martyr Yahya Sinwar at Hamas’ office in Tehran, said: “Unfortunately, in the society we live in, the governments and powers that claim to uphold human rights and international laws are themselves the violators of all the laws and rights they claim to respect. They support a regime that expels people from their homes and displaces them.”

Speaking to reporters, the President added: “When these people pursue their rightful land and justice, European countries and the U.S. fully arm Israel and shamelessly defend every inhumane crime this regime commits. I don’t know where these so-called advocates of women’s, children’s, and human rights are. This shows that what they really seek in this world is power and bullying. Naturally, those who stand for justice and freedom will not remain silent against their demands.”

Pezeshkian emphasized: “This is not a war that can end by killing people. It’s a war that can only conclude with the establishment of justice and by considering the rights of all humans. It cannot end through force and oppression.”

In response to a question about a possible Israeli attack on Iran, the President stated: “Any attack will be met with its proportional response.”
