WANA (Oct 26) – Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned Israel’s military aggression against Iran following airstrikes conducted on Saturday.

In a statement, the ministry expressed: “We firmly condemn today’s air attack by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This assault constitutes a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law, escalating tensions and undermining efforts for a ceasefire and the peaceful resolution of crises through diplomatic means.”

The statement further condemned Israel’s ongoing actions, which are perceived as leading the region toward increased instability and conflict. “We once again call on the international community to take effective measures to halt these aggressions and to put an end to the blatant violations of the territories of neighboring countries,” the ministry added.

Oman emphasized the necessity of addressing the root causes of regional crises, advocating for an end to Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian and Arab lands. The ministry called for compliance with United Nations resolutions and Security Council decisions, emphasizing the need to grant the Palestinian people their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state within the 1967 borders, in line with the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative to achieve a just and lasting peace for all parties involved.
