WANA (Oct 26) – The foreign ministers of Qatar, Syria, and Egypt held discussions with Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, concerning the latest regional developments.

 

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister; Bassam Sabbagh, Syria’s Foreign Minister; and Badr Abdel Aty, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, held separate phone calls with Seyyed Abbas Araqchi to exchange views on recent regional events.

 

During these conversations, the ministers condemned last night’s aggressive Israeli attack on certain Iranian military sites. They emphasized the urgent need to intensify efforts for establishing a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, halting Israel’s military operations, and restoring stability and security to the region.

 

Araqchi, outlining Iran’s stance, asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to respond decisively and proportionately to any violation of its territorial integrity and security at an appropriate time.

He added that the international community must act swiftly and effectively to establish a just ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon to prevent the expansion of war throughout the region.
