Iran’s Supreme Leader: Israeli Regime Has Miscalculated; Iran’s Strength Must Be Made Clear
WANA (Oct 27) – During a meeting this morning with the families of martyrs of security, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, emphasized the need to disrupt the miscalculations of Israel regarding Iran. He stated, “They are making a strategic error regarding Iran because they do not know the Iranian people and youth and have yet to understand the power, capability, initiative, and will of the Iranian nation, which we must make clear to them.”
In his meeting with thousands of families of esteemed martyrs, the Leader described these martyrs as among the greatest martyrs of the righteous path. He stressed the foundational importance of security in all aspects of society and people’s lives, asserting that only a strong Iran can ensure and guarantee the security and progress of the country and its people. Therefore, Iran must become stronger every day in all economic, scientific, political, defense, and managerial dimensions.
Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the ongoing actions of the malevolent Israeli regime in committing the most brutal war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon, calling for the formation of a “global coalition” against this wicked regime. He added, regarding the malicious actions of Israel two nights ago, that while they exaggerate their specific goals, downplaying it and claiming it was insignificant is also incorrect.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized, “Of course, our officials must accurately assess the quality of work and do what is in the interest of this country and nation so that they understand who the Iranian people are and what our youth are like.”
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran stated, “This thought, motivation, readiness, and valor present in the Iranian nation must be preserved, as these elements are the foundation of security.”
In today’s meeting with the families of martyrs of security, he described the rights of these martyrs and their families as “truly indescribable” and added, “Security is the foundation of all means and paths for the advancement of the country and the nation. The value of the guardians of security and the honored martyrs in this arena—such as those in the Law Enforcement Force, Basij, IRGC, Army, and intelligence agencies—must be understood in terms of the unparalleled importance of security.”
Referencing the Holy Quran, the Leader regarded security as “a great divine blessing” and pointed out the vast scope of the activities of the defenders of the country’s and society’s security, stating, “Wherever there is no security and no valuable guardians, wickedness takes shape.”
Ayatollah Khamenei categorized the threats to security, such as “wickedness at borders, in cities, banditry, theft, arms smuggling, drug trafficking, and spreading rumors,” as examples of attempts to create insecurity. He concluded, “Anyone who stands against any form of wickedness will earn the honorable title of ‘Guardian of Security.'”
In his remarks on the crucial element of ensuring and maintaining security, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, stated, “Some hold a strange analysis and believe that refraining from producing sensitive tools for oppressors, such as missiles, can bring security to Iran. However, this flawed thought suggests to the nation and its officials to keep the country weak in order to be secure.”
He emphasized that national power is the only way to ensure Iran’s safety, asserting, “To secure the country and society and to advance Iran, we must be strong in all aspects—economic, scientific, defensive, political, managerial, and more—and we must grow stronger every day.”
Ayatollah Khamenei attributed the calamity of Iran’s occupation during World Wars I and II, despite the country’s declaration of neutrality, to the poor policies of incompetent or treasonous leaders. He remarked, “By turning away from real tools of power, they led the nation and the country to humiliation, weakness, and inability to ensure their own security.”
He further highlighted the importance of psychological security, stating, “Those who induce anxiety, fear, and doubt in people through certain content, rumors, or incorrect analyses—especially in cyberspace—are referred to in the Quran as ‘Murjifoon.’ God commands the Prophet to punish them if they do not cease this behavior.”
Ayatollah Khamenei criticized individuals spreading misinformation or acting with ulterior motives, emphasizing the need for caution in the digital realm. He urged those engaged with social media to consider the potential impact of their posts on the public’s morale, emotions, and thoughts. “Not everything that comes to mind should be shared online,” he stated, highlighting the importance of responsible communication.
He remarked on the frequent discussions about cyberspace in recent weeks, stressing that those involved in decision-making regarding online content must recognize how a single piece of false information can instill fear and doubt among the populace.
Ayatollah Khamenei further noted that officials have significant responsibilities not only for physical security concerning “borders, streets, and people’s lives” but also for maintaining the psychological well-being of the public.
The Leader of the Revolution pointed out how adversaries exploit soft warfare tools alongside hard power, stating, “Undermining the psychological security of society is a component of this soft war. Everyone has witnessed how they use cyberspace to advance their agendas.”

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed pride in the families of security martyrs, urging them to “stand tall and take pride in your martyrs.” He emphasized that without their sacrifices and those of other security defenders, the country would face significant challenges, and thus, all citizens should appreciate these martyrs and their families.
Iran’s Supreme leader also condemned the horrific crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza, including the deaths of ten thousand children and over ten thousand women, labeling these actions as some of the most barbaric war crimes. He criticized the inaction of global governments and organizations, such as the United Nations, in addressing these actions, stating, “Warfare has rules and boundaries; it is not acceptable for all limits to be disregarded. However, the criminal band governing the occupied territories has trampled all norms and regulations.”
He called for a united stance from governments, particularly Islamic nations, against the Israeli regime and stressed the need for a global coalition to oppose this “tyrannical regime.” Ayatollah Khamenei clarified that standing up does not equate to cutting off economic aid, stating, “Assisting the usurping regime is among the ugliest and greatest sins. Instead, standing firm means forming a political, economic, and, if necessary, military coalition against a regime that commits the most heinous war crimes.”
