Iran’s Foreign Minister Meets with Foreign Diplomats on Regional Tensions
WANA (Oct 29) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met on Tuesday with ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, and heads of foreign missions in Tehran to discuss recent regional developments and tensions.
Araghchi presented Iran’s stance on recent Israeli attacks against Iranian military sites and elaborated on Iran’s potential responses to these acts of aggression.
Referring to the recent airstrikes by Israel on military targets in Ilam, Khuzestan, and Tehran provinces, Araghchi stated, “The hostile fighter jets of the Israeli regime, in an act of aggression and in violation of all international laws, utilized airspace controlled by U.S. military forces in a neighboring country to strike several targets within Iranian territory. This action is a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter.”

He reiterated Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the U.N. Charter, stating, “The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on its inherent right to self-defense, fully reserves the legal right to respond appropriately to this open aggression, and the Israeli regime will understand the consequences of its miscalculations regarding Iran’s strength and determination.”
Araghchi further stated that Iran would not hesitate or rush in its response and added, “Iran is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security against any encroachment and violation.”
