Iran’s Defense Minister: No Defense Capability of Iran Has Been Compromised
WANA (Oct 30) – Iran’s Defense Minister, Amir Nasirzadeh, stated that “if the Israeli regime dares to fire even a single shot into our deserts, it is an act of aggression against our country and is unacceptable to us.”
In remarks to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, Amir Nasirzadeh explained: “The enemy attempted to damage our offensive and defensive systems but was largely unsuccessful, as we had prepared with passive defense measures. Our defense technology is indigenous, and one of the damaged systems was replaced the very next day. However, even a single shot fired into our territory is an affront that we will not tolerate.”
Regarding Israel’s claim of having compromised Iran’s defense capabilities, the Defense Minister dismissed it, saying, “Their claim is baseless and untrue.”

Nasirzadeh commented on the reported 200% increase in the Defense Ministry’s budget, stating, “I have no information about a 200% increase in the Defense Ministry’s budget. As far as I know, this budget has been structured based on previous years, and in relation to increases in other budgets, the Defense Ministry’s budget has been adjusted accordingly.”

In response to a question about whether Israel had launched attacks against Iran through its northern neighbors, he firmly stated, “No.”
He added, “We have good programs in place to strengthen air defense, which we will announce in due course.”
During a recent session of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Iran’s Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh also reported that 90% of Iranian missiles successfully struck Israeli targets during Operation True Promise 2. However, he claimed that Israel had censored the true outcomes.
Nasirzadeh further emphasized that the Islamic Republic has the capacity to conduct numerous operations similar to Promise Fulfilled, affirming Iran’s robust defensive capabilities.
