Iran and Egypt Emphasized Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments
WANA (Oct 31) – On Wednesday evening, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati held a phone conversation, consulting on regional developments and bilateral relations.
The Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Egypt have expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral talks in recent months and emphasized the importance of continuing discussions in the interests of Tehran and Cairo.
Both officials described the regional situation as perilous and stressed the urgent need for an effective international effort to establish ceasefires in Lebanon and Gaza, underscoring the critical role of Islamic countries in this context.
Araghchi and Abdel Aati further highlighted the constructive nature of recent talks between the two nations, including a recent meeting of their presidents in Kazan, Russia, and reiterated their commitment to continued dialogue for the benefit of both nations and their people.
