Ayatollah Khamenei: Decisive Response to Attacks on Iran and Resistance
WANA (Nov 02) – In line with the annual tradition, a group of students from across Iran met with Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, on the eve of November 4th, which marks Iran’s Student Day and the National Day of Fighting Against Arrogance.
During the meeting, the Supreme Leader discussed the fight against global arrogance, stating, “We will do everything necessary to prepare the Iranian nation for this struggle, whether it be militarily, in terms of armament, or through political action. Fortunately, our officials are actively engaged in these efforts.”
He emphasized that the Iranian nation and its leaders will show no hesitation in their collective movement against global arrogance and the current criminal regime dominating the world order.
Addressing recent attacks on Iran by Israel, he noted, “This is not just a matter of revenge; it is a logical response. Our actions are aligned with religion, ethics, Sharia, and international law, and there will be no delay or negligence in this regard.”
He further highlighted that “the issue of the former US embassy in Iran should not be questioned or doubted, asserting that the embassy was not merely a diplomatic and informational center but a planning hub for instigating internal unrest against the Revolution, threatening the life of the late Imam Khomeini.”
“The struggle against international oppression is paramount for the Iranian people, inspired by the teachings of Islam. Confronting arrogance is an obligation. Arrogance manifests as comprehensive economic, military, and cultural domination, degrading nations. The Iranian nation has faced this humiliation for years, and their resistance will continue,” he stated.
Iran’s Supreme Leader warned, “Enemies, including the U.S. and the Zionist regime, should know that they will receive a decisive response for their actions against Iran and the resistance front.”
He urged a rational, wise, and logically sound approach to continue the movement against arrogance, emphasizing the need for knowledge, thought, technology, and a strategic roadmap.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that “the Iranian nation’s fight against American arrogance stems from the oppressive dominance exerted by the U.S. over Iran and its people.” He noted that attempts to portray the conflict between Iran and the U.S. as beginning on November 4, 1979, are misleading, asserting that American interference dates back to before the Islamic Revolution and has persisted since.
The Supreme Leader recounted the historical context of U.S.-Iran relations, pointing out that “before the 1953 coup on August 19, a national government in Iran was established, only to be overthrown by the U.S., which betrayed the trust of that government. This led to the installation of the oppressive Pahlavi regime, under which the Iranian people experienced severe enmity from the U.S.”
He reflected on America’s role in creating SAVAK, the notorious security service responsible for torture and repression of dissenters. “Thousands suffered at the hands of SAVAK’s operatives, and many lost their lives or endured severe injuries,” he said. “The methods of torture were taught by American agents, and countless advisors infiltrated Iran to extend their influence and alter the nation’s culture.”
Ayatollah Khamenei reassured Iranian youth that the country is committed to a comprehensive response against U.S. arrogance, stating, “We will do everything necessary to prepare the Iranian nation for this struggle, whether it be militarily, in terms of armament, or through political action.” He affirmed that both the Iranian people and their leaders will not waver in their efforts to confront global oppression.
He clarified that the focus is not merely revenge but a rational response aligned with religious, ethical, and international standards. “The Iranian people and officials will show no delay or negligence in this endeavor. This is something you can be assured of,” he concluded.
