WANA (Nov 02) – The Deputy Coordinator of the Ideological and Political Organization of the Iranian Army stated that Israel would soon be forced to agree to a ceasefire. According to him, Israeli officials are well aware that their actions in southern Lebanon will not yield the desired outcomes and will only lead to heavier losses in the future.

Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia noted that “the developments in Lebanon have entered a new phase.” He explained, “Israel assumed that by targeting prominent figures like Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and other high-ranking resistance leaders, the resistance front would no longer be able to stand firm. However, we have witnessed Hezbollah’s swift recovery. They appointed Sheikh Naim Qassem, who has a long history within the resistance, as Secretary-General, and quickly replaced key commanders, achieving numerous victories.”

He added, “Since the Israeli offensive in southern Lebanon began, Israel has suffered significant casualties, with numerous soldiers killed, and substantial amounts of Israeli military and engineering equipment destroyed. Despite intense bombardments and pressure, Israel has not been able to capture even a single village in southern Lebanon. This is a major achievement for the Lebanese resistance, showcasing Hezbollah’s resilient structure and its ability to quickly regroup and continue resisting Israel.”

Emphasizing that “the Israelis have failed in ground battles against Hezbollah,” he stated, “The successive defeats of Israel in Lebanon send a message to the resistance front and to Israel’s supporters, including certain Arab countries, the United States, and Western nations. The Lebanese resistance’s victory will undoubtedly have positive effects on the region’s future.”
