WANA (Nov 07) – On Thursday, November 7, members of Iran’s Assembly of Experts met with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who emphasized the resilience and growing strength of the resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine. He expressed confidence in the ultimate victory of the “front of resistance” over its adversaries.

Ayatollah Khamenei stated, “The struggles we witness today in Lebanon, Gaza, and Palestine are a continuation of the path toward victory for the resistance and the forces of justice.”

He further reflected on the sacrifices of key resistance figures, including the late leaders Hassan Nasrallah, Haniyeh, and Safi al-Din, saying, “These leaders and martyrs have brought honor to Islam and strength to the resistance front.”

The Supreme Leader praised Hezbollah’s decades-long efforts, describing how it has forced Israeli forces to retreat from Beirut, Sidon, Tyre, and ultimately from the entirety of southern Lebanon. “Hezbollah evolved from a small group of fighters to a formidable organization that continues to confront a well-armed enemy, backed by global powers like the U.S.,” he remarked.

Ayatollah Khamenei also highlighted the achievements of the Palestinian resistance, noting that “since 2009, they have faced Israel nine times and have prevailed each time. Today, the Palestinian resistance stands strong against the Israeli regime despite ongoing efforts to eliminate Hamas,” he stated. He underscored that the regime’s tactics have backfired, leading to global condemnation and further isolating Israel.

Turning to recent criticisms, he said, “Some mistakenly believe that Hezbollah has weakened, but they are deluded. Hezbollah remains strong, with its dedicated structure and spirit intact. While prominent figures like Seyed Hassan Nasrallah may not be present, Hezbollah’s spirit endures, and, God willing, the region will one day witness a clear defeat of the Zionist regime by these fighters for justice.”
