WANA (Nov 14) – Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), declared that Iran, through the mobilization of the Basij forces, has created a proud legacy for the Islamic nation and for Iran. He highlighted that with the support of the Basij, Iran overcame the challenging eight-year war, during which the world’s dominant powers aligned against it.

He emphasized, “We have steadfastly passed through the harsh strategy of economic sanctions with the determined will of the Iranian people and our collective jihadist efforts. The enemy has tried, and continues to try, to sow doubt in the hearts and minds of the people regarding the Islamic Revolution and the proud identity of the Iranian nation, but we will overcome that as well.”

Salami further stated that today, we witness all oppressive forces globally lined up in a historic confrontation against Islam and Muslims. “The world’s most advanced militaries have come to support the Zionist regime. This is a global show of force meant to compel us to surrender to their will, to dominate the fate of Muslims, occupy their lands, and plunder their religious identity.”

Addressing Iran’s enemies, he declared, “You will be defeated and cannot withstand the resilience of Muslims. Although you demolish homes, devastate cities and villages, and bury innocent Muslims under the rubble, know that for every 40,000 Palestinians killed defenselessly in besieged Gaza, 100,000 Palestinian children are born.”

Salami noted that these children would learn the ways of resistance from the moment they are born and, as soon as they are able, they will carry the flag of jihad. “We see the strength of the youth of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Despite the severe blows you have inflicted on them in recent months, they stand firm, determined, and united on the battlefield, delivering irreparable strikes to you each day.”

He added that Hezbollah continues to exact revenge for the blows it has suffered, challenging the belief that Hezbollah would retreat due to the martyrdom of its leaders or young fighters. “Perhaps you did not realize that this powerful movement is neither extinguishable nor stoppable.”

The IRGC commander concluded, “We will fight to the end, eye to eye, and we will not allow you to control the destiny of Muslims. We will take revenge, and you will receive painful blows. Wait and see.”
